CLEAR Prepares for Annual Board Meeting: A New Chapter of Collaboration and Growth

CLEAR is excited to announce its Annual In-Person Board Meeting will be held on October 6th, 2024, in Orlando, FL, during the Florida Law Enforcement Property Recovery Unit's (FLEPRU) Annual Conference, taking place from October 8th to 10th, 2024. This highly anticipated event promises to bring together leaders from both law enforcement and the retail industry, providing a unique platform to discuss key issues and drive forward strategic initiatives that will enhance both sectors.

One of the most exciting aspects of this year's Board meeting is the collaboration with the FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA) Charitable Foundation Board. FBINAA, a global network supporting law enforcement professionals, will join CLEAR leadership for joint discussions aimed at improving community safety and strengthening business resilience. This remarkable convergence of expertise and leadership is expected to result in innovative strategies and new partnership opportunities.

Doug Muldoon, CLEAR’s Director of Law Enforcement Relations and Chairperson of the FBINAA Charitable Foundation, expressed his enthusiasm about the potential impact of this meeting. “The opportunity to meet in Orlando alongside FLEPRU and CLEAR is truly exciting. The partnership opportunities created by bringing these Boards together are boundless,” Muldoon said.

John 'JC' Clark, Executive Director of CLEAR, echoed this excitement, sharing his vision for the future of CLEAR and the broader coalition. “We’re entering an exciting chapter for CLEAR, and this meeting comes at the perfect time. The opportunity to collaborate with partners like the FBINAA Charitable Foundation Board and FLEPRU amplifies everything we do. It’s a moment where law enforcement and retail come together, and that synergy opens the door to new ideas and strategies that can truly move the needle for both sectors,” Clark explained.

Adding to the significance of this year's Board meeting, CLEAR is proud to announce the introduction of several new Board members. These individuals bring diverse expertise and fresh perspectives that will help propel CLEAR forward as it continues to foster strong partnerships between law enforcement and retail communities. “We’re very excited about the addition of new Board members. Their leadership will help us expand our initiatives and push the boundaries of what we can achieve together,” Clark said.

The meeting will not only serve as an opportunity to reflect on past successes but also to strategically plan for the future. The addition of new voices to the Board, alongside existing leadership, will ensure that CLEAR remains focused on addressing the most pressing challenges faced by both sectors. “Having these new voices at the table ensures we’re tackling the most pressing issues from all angles,” Clark added.

With the alignment of the Board meeting and the FBINAA Charitable Foundation’s session, this event presents an unparalleled opportunity for cross-sector collaboration. Discussions will focus on initiatives that promote stronger partnerships, safer communities, and more resilient businesses. As Clark emphasized, “We’re not just talking about incremental change; we’re talking about real, impactful progress.”

Looking ahead, CLEAR is eager to harness the momentum of this event to lay the groundwork for larger initiatives. The meeting will serve as a launchpad for expanding safety protocols, enhancing community-based efforts, and building deeper relationships between law enforcement and retail professionals.

Rich Rossman, President of FLEPRU, also expressed his excitement about the upcoming gathering, emphasizing the value of FLEPRU’s involvement in these national discussions. "We’re excited for the FLEPRU Board to participate in discussions at this level," Rossman stated. "The chance to collaborate with national leaders like CLEAR and the FBINAA opens new doors for Florida’s law enforcement community. It’s a great opportunity for us to contribute to these important conversations and ensure our collective efforts enhance public safety on both local and national levels."

In addition to the strategic discussions, CLEAR is also excited to announce that the location and dates for the 2025 Annual Conference will be revealed during the meeting. This announcement will mark another key milestone for the organization as it continues to grow and expand its impact.

As the meeting approaches, CLEAR invites all stakeholders to join in these important discussions and help shape the future of the organization. With fresh leadership, innovative strategies, and a commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships, this Board meeting promises to set the stage for a year of significant collaboration and growth.

Stay tuned for more details as CLEAR continues to advance its mission of enhancing community safety and business resilience through strong partnerships.
